Jon microwaves an egg

Jon immediately taps the egg on the table, apparently assuming that it has been hard-boiled, but soon discovers this not to be the case, as egg white leaks out onto the surface.

He weighs up whether or not he’s going to eat the egg raw, while pouring the egg into the egg-cup. While he’s checking with Alex on the safety implications, the egg white spills over the edge of the egg-cup and onto the table in a visually disturbing manner.

Jon heads off to the kitchen to cook the egg in a plastic jug in the microwave. He then discovers that there is Peri Peri salt in the kitchen, so decides to add some seasoning.

He returns to the lab, where he attempts to quickly eat the very hot egg out of the jug with a fork.

Back in the studio, Alex points out how surprised Jon was that it was hot, and reveals that he “achieved egg” in 5 minutes and 12 seconds, earning him third place.
