Richard is a “disgusting boy”

Richard also makes the mistake of assuming that the egg-cup has sufficient capacity for the entire contents of a raw egg, and ends up losing much of the white to the surface of the table as he lifts the egg-cup to his mouth to down in one, like some kind of “disgusting boy”.

He then slams the egg-cup down and leaves the lab with his cup of tea, without saying a word.

Back in the studio, Richard’s competitors are quick to point out that he “didn’t achieve full egg”, having left much of the white on the table.

Alex points out that the amount left behind by Richard was about the same amount sipped by Katherine, but then immediately backs out of being involved in any judgment. Greg points out how lovely it must be for him to devise the entire show but then hide behind Greg when it came to judgments.

Greg judges that many people had left some amount of egg uneaten during their attempts, so he declares Richard’s attempt to be valid.

Based on this judgment, Alex confirms that Richard won the task.
