Joe's half-arsed rendition of Old MacDonald
Upon reading the task brief, Joe immediately admits that he can’t think of any nursery rhymes.
When introducing Joe’s video in the studio, Alex highlights the “different energy levels” between Joe and Doc, whose quite intense video had just been shown.
As indicated, Joe’s performance of ‘Old MacDonald’ features his distinctive level of indifference, as he stands, hands in pockets, in front of a green-screened image of a barn, with Alex popping in and out of frame with various props to illustrate the various animals mentioned in the song.
Back in the studio, Greg’s reaction is that he found it “genuinely annoying” (a sentiment Joe agrees with) because Joe didn’t even get the words to the song right. Joe acts confused at Greg’s demonstration of how it should have gone, as if the version he’d performed was the only version he’d ever heard.
Unsurprisingly, Joe is placed last in the task, but gets two points due to Greg’s award of a joint first place to Doc and Jon.
