Nikolaj's strategy just doesn't pan out

Here's a brief description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working writing up more detail!

Nikolaj has some good ideas, dropping his bread immediately to mark the starting spot, and then continuing to head in a straight line even when he encounters obstacles (including two fences and a table). However, his sense of direction fails him on the return trip, and he veers far away from his slice of bread. He travels 100m out, makes a return journey of 160m, and is still 84m away from the starting point, giving him a total score of 176m, and securing him fourth place.
