Dave's block of marble

Here's a description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to illustrate it.

Dave brings in a chunk of marble which he’d dug out of his own garden. He thought it was possibly the base of a bird table, left by the previous owners. It was the heaviest item at 27.3 kilograms, so Dave earns first place.
