Jon humiliates himself for the mayor

In the studio, Jon is insistent that they don’t need to show his attempt, stating that he’ll voluntarily take last place. When the footage of his attempt begins, he leaves the stage, unable to make himself watch it.
Jon begins by asking Peter if he’s hungry, but Peter says he’s just eaten. Fishing for an in to something Peter might enjoy, Jon then asks if he’s into sport, or circus skills. He then gets tongue-tied and nervously taps the table with his fingers.
Pulling out his phone, Jon asks if Peter would like to see a video of a whale. As he’s scrolling through the contents of his media folder, he then finds a picture which he shows to Peter, asking if he knows what it is. After Peter guesses that maybe it’s a sandwich, Jon reveals that it’s a pistachio éclair (thus coining the episode title).
When Peter says that the éclair is actually quite impressive, Jon is momentarily delighted. However, when Peter then asks if he’d made it himself, Jon has to admit that he’d just bought it, which Peter points out is much less impressive.
Jon desperately claims that he can sometimes make the noise of a dolphin, but he then makes some weird screeching sounds before admitting that he’s lost it since he hit puberty.
Running out of ideas, Jon acknowledges that he is probably going to end up singing, which he really doesn’t want to do. After trying to google “impressive things” on his phone, he gives in to the inevitable, and sings the Eagle’s song Desperado for the mayor.
After finishing his performance, Jon wanders around the room uncomfortably, saying “Oh god!” to himself, over and over.
In the studio, Greg states that Jon actually has a better singing voice than Doc (who agrees), but that his attempt was just far more embarrassing.
Jon is rated 5/10 by the mayor, and earns just 1 point.
