Jon texts Richard, who directs Josh

Richard arrives first and, when Jon arrives, they greet each other with a handshake and both say “I didn’t know you were coming”. When they are then joined by Josh Widdicombe, Richard comments that Josh is from a previous series, and that it’s like when the three Doctor Whos met.

Josh is assigned to the first building, where he glances at the box of vegetables and then groans when he sees the blindfold, which Alex then puts on him.

After Josh tells Richard he can read his task brief, Richard tells Josh that he has to wear earplugs and headphones, so won’t be able to hear anything. After reading his task brief, Richard then tells Jon to open his own.

When Alex asks Jon what his task brief says, Jon wags his finger and puts it to his mouth, signalling that he cannot speak.

Jon begins the task by trying to mime ‘potato’ to Richard, who signals that he can’t see anything (due to his poor eyesight, not because he’s blindfolded or anything). Jon is at a loss as to how to communicate with Richard, but then reaches for his phone and texts him to say that he needs a potato.

Richard shouts over to Josh that Jon needs a potato, so Josh rummages through the box, finding the potato just after insisting that there isn’t one. Josh then walks quite slowly, with his arms stretched out in front of him, as Richard guides him towards Jon.

As Josh gets close to Jon, he reaches out of his building to take the potato from Josh.

In the studio, Greg says it was nice seeing “one little boy give another little boy a potato”. Jon comments that he and Richard often text one another about football, and he occasionally looks back in their chat and sees the texts saying “hope Fulham win tonight”, followed by “I need a potato”.

After hearing how long the other team took to complete the task, Jon says he had a feeling that his team had done it in about 5 minutes and 20 seconds. Greg responds to this prediction by stating “Yeah, cos you probably internally timed it, you freak”.

It’s revealed that the team actually completed the task in 4 minutes and 49 seconds, so Richard and Jon both earn 5 points.
