Simon stacks carrots and names mammals
Here's a description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to illustrate it.
Once again attempting to outsmart the task (as he did in the meatballs task), Simon counts all of the carrots before opening the task, coming up with a total of 216 carrots; this theoretically puts him at a disadvantage at the start of the task, as the carrots are scattered on the table instead of gathered in a basket. Simon smartly realises that man is a mammal, so he could just start naming people’s names and not have to think of any animals. However, before he even starts building, he whispers a name he’s already used, meaning his time is over. Mark measures the carrots that Simon had taken out of the basket to count, and records Simon’s tower as being 12cm, pointing out that had he taken a single average-length carrot and stood it up vertically, he would have had an 18cm carrot tower. Simon comes fourth.
