Luke's one minute life story
Luke's montage starts off with a scene of his birth, in which Tom Cashman plays his mother.
The next scene features Luke jumping a lake on a bicycle, at the request of 'the mayor' (played by Tom), in order to 'save the town'. As he jumps, he yells out that he supports gay marriage.
He is then seen being 'knighted' by the 'King of Tasmania' (also played by Tom), while still a teenager, for 'protecting the realm'.
He is then seen in the lab, accompanied by a 'fellow scientist' (also played by Tom), who confirms that Luke has, indeed, 'cured cancer'.
The final scene is set at Luke's 'funeral', where the officiant (also played by Tom) reveals that he had died while winning the 'Sex Grand Final'. As the camera pans across the faces of the mourners, it is revealed that Luke is very much alive at his own funeral, and he winks at the camera.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson checks with Luke that all the events depicted actually happened during his life, which he confirms, and Tom accepts without question.
Tom therefore awards him first place in the task, much to Nina's frustration.
