Nina performs a cricket appeal

Nina has no idea what a 'cricket appeal' is, and initially asks whether its about which member of the team is the sexiest.

After presumably getting the same definition from Tom Cashman as Danielle did, she decides that the batter being 'out' must be about them just being too far away.

She gets a member of the production crew to be the batter, positioning him next to a tree, a fair distance away from the stumps, holding a cricket bat.

Her appeal to "umpire Tom" takes the form of a rather formal and earnest speech, punctuated by her swishing a length of ribbon around, and then removing her top hat and kneeling down before him, pleading for him to make a decision.

Tom eventually relents, and decides that the batter is definitely 'out', given where he is standing.

In the studio, she is embarrassed by her performance, but points out that she did "make an appeal to the cricket master", thus coining the title of the episode.

Tom Gleeson awards her last place, since there was very little passion in her appeal.
