Nina attempts to build a Rube Goldberg machine

When the drone drops the task brief for Nina, it unfortunately lands on top of the caravan, and Tom Cashman has to give her a boost up so she can retrieve it.

She decides that she wants to build a Rube Goldberg machine. Her creation begins with her rolling an exercise ball off of a wheelchair, down a boogie board, and between two pool noodles.

The ball then hits a skateboard, which rolls over something, and then is presumably meant to continue to roll up a pizza paddle laid on top of a guitar, which would pull on a string.

However, the skateboard stops too early, so Nina has to trigger the next link in the machine herself, which involves a basketball rolling across a table and knocking into a fishing net.

It's unclear what her original plan for the end of the machine was, since it looks like the net would have just landed on a mini trampoline.

However, after simulating the act of the basketball hitting the net, she then grabs the net and puts it over her own head, as she crouches down on the trampoline.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson tried to avoid making any comment on Nina's machine by quickly moving on to the next contestant, but then does state that he's glad she'll never do it again, because he doesn't ever want to see it again.

She tries to explain how the machine should have worked, and Tom quickly points out that Rube Goldberg had probably never used the word "somehow", when explaining how his machines would work. Nina earns fourth place for her creation.
