Amir's optic nerve damage

Amir shares that he had sustained a brain injury, when cycling without a helmet, which had damaged his left optic nerve, leaving him blind in one eye. He says that he wishes that the damage didn’t exist.
He represents the damage with a report from the hospital’s eye department, and a pair of sunglasses with only a left lens, which allows others to experience his sight loss. He also takes the opportunity to encourage people to wear helmets while cycling.
He earns third place.
