Jesper proposes with a song
In the study, Jesper has created an intimate live show atmosphere.
The room is dark, but for a few accent lights, Jesper is seated behind a microphone stand, and next to him is his musical back-up (and song co-writer) Jacob Rask, playing the electric keyboard.
There is also a smoke machine running, for added ambiance.
After Mark sits down, Jesper sings him a pop ballad that could actually have a decent chance of standing on its own, outside of the context of the show.
A full version of the song can be found on Jacob Rask’s YouTube channel, here.
The translated lyrics are as follows:
Thousands of years
Love that lasts forever
I will love you
Sun, eternal spring
Nothing can scare me as long as I'm with you
Nothing can scare me
Because even though there's differences between you and me
And even though there may be sun and rain
There's one thing I know for sure
Together with you everything will surely work out
Mark, do you want my hand?
Forever and ever
Do you want my hand?
Forever and ever, Mark
Do you want my hand?
Forever and ever
Mark, do you want my hand?
Even though there are differences between you and me
And even though there may be sun and rain
Even if something might happen and you're not on board
And we're not the same zodiac sign
And I might embarrass you a little
One thing I am certain of
Together with you, everything will be all right
Mark, do you want my hand?
Forever and ever
Do you want my hand?
Forever and ever, Mark
Do you want my hand?
Forever and ever
Mark, do you want my hand?
After his performance, Jesper kneels in front of Mark and presents a ring, asking Mark properly for his hand in marriage.
Mark tells Jesper that he will think about it, and leaves.
In the studio, Mark admits that, although he’d had to tell every contestant that he would think over their proposal, he had actually been very close to just jumping straight into Jesper’s arms, at the time.
The two men then enjoy a hug on stage, and Mark spends the rest of the segment sitting on Jesper’s lap.
Lasse awards such a strong love first place.
