Vegard unwinds the string by hand

Vegard threads the reel of string onto a stick, and tapes it between two chairs.

Uncharacteristically wearing a pair of safety gloves, he then unravels the string by hand by simply pulling off the reel.

However, the reel soon begins to spin too fast, and the string starts to become tangled up around it. Also, the stick which he's using as an axle eventually breaks, and Vegard is left with a tangled mess.

Despite the chaos he still succeeds at removing 230 metres of string from the reel, which earns him second place.
