Vegard tries for tears

Vegard starts out by trying the classic method of carefully dicing onions, just like all the other contestants but, when that doesn’t work, he spirals.

He ends up desperately trying things such as blasting onion juice into his face with a leaf-blower, holding his eyes open and wafting onion fumes into them, and having Olli blow into his eyes.

None of these methods seem to have much effect, and Vegard finishes with only two tears.

However, this is still a good enough result to earn him third place.

Note: Despite claiming in-studio that men don't cry, Vegard has been seen tearing up on TV on several occasions, including: at a Kyrgyz wedding during episode 6 of Big in Kyrgyzstan (a 2012 miniseries within season 2 of I kveld med Ylvis), and on multiple occasions during season 14 of 71° nord – Norges tøffeste kjendis (2022).
