Vegard uses a sledgehammer

In-studio, prior to showing Vegard’s attempt, Bård accuses his brother of being "smug and complacent", when Vegard mocks him for taking 28 minutes to complete the task.

Vegard begins his attempt by smashing the top of the box with a sledgehammer, managing to make the hole large enough to fit the triangular block through in only 57 seconds.

Awarding Vegard first place, Atle points out that while he chose the same method as many others, he had simply done it better.

Bård interjects to point out that that his brother's attempt was low on entertainment value, but Vegard hits back by saying that he didn't have enough time for witty comments, as he was going for the win.
