Maria holds her eyes open with her hands

Maria uses her 30 seconds of prep time to keep her eyes closed, and then uses her fingers to hold her eyes wide open, once the time begins.

She says that, if she twitches her eyes while she holds them open, it almost feels like she's blinking.

She soon claims to be seeing double, and admits that she's getting nauseated.

She then gets visibly bored, and starts pulling faces and saying nonsense.

She claims that she has nothing else she has to do that day, or the next, implying she could go on forever.

Maria then gets even more bored, and experiments with letting go of her eyelids, showing that her mascara has stuck her eyelashes to her face.

After 21 minutes and 43 seconds, she gives up, stating that it's now too easy. Bizarrely, this time is only enough to secure her third place.
