Jacob abandons his vegetarianism
Jacob lays two meatballs against the shed, and declares that they are the same length of his index finger, based on his position behind the table.
He then uses his finger to measure the front of the shed, coming up with a total of 25 fingers, or 50 meatballs.
He eats a meatball to gain some time back, and then decides to refine his calculations, increasing his meatball scale at the front of the shed to 10, which he judges to be the equivalent of the distance between the knuckles on the back of his hand.
He quickly eats several meatballs to give himself more time, and ultimately comes up with an estimate of 480 meatballs, before quickly changing it to 500 meatballs.
In the studio, Jacob defends his actions, saying that there wasn’t anything he could do, as the animal that became the meatballs was already dead.
It’s unclear if Jacob really did suspend his vegetarian diet for this task, or if this narrative was all a joke and he’d used some sort of vegan meatballs for the task.
As the actual answer is 450 meatballs, Jacob earns third place.
