Dai makes the task his own

Dai first plays the tape containing Guy Williams’ national anthem for Libya, which he really enjoys and has a dance to.

He then plays the other tapes, seemingly at random, listening to Josh Thomson’s ‘Sushi Train’ and the “No-one asked you to play this tape” message (the scallop tape).

Dai then begins mixing the audio from the cassettes playing ‘Sushi Train’ and the scallop tape at the same time.

When he plays the tape containing the word “room”, he mishears is as “rune”. He then plays the tape containing the word “time”.

While playing the tape containing Guy Montgomery’s song about the Festive Fox, he writes “rune time” on the task brief, hands it to Paul, tells him that “All the information is in the task”, and leaves the room.

In the studio, Paul brings out a pencil for Dai to snap, which he does with no urgency, logging a total task time of 91 days, 17 hours, 34 minutes, and 12 seconds.

Unsurprisingly, this earns him last place.
