Dai sets Paul a very achievable nature challenge
Dai bets Paul that he can’t find 13 different types of leaf in 15 minutes.
Dai starts the timer for Paul, who rushes out of the caravan to fetch some leaves, while Dai remains relaxed in the caravan, claiming that either way the bet goes, it’s a win for him.
Paul goes foraging from the trees near the house and in the wooded area at the edge of its grounds.
He returns to the caravan and counts out 44 different types of leaves he has collected onto the table.
Dai initially declares that the bet was therefore successful but, after Paul asks Dai if he thought he’d won it, Dai re-reads the task brief and apparently realises that he has misunderstood.
He also points out that he’s just done what humanity has done throughout history by underestimating nature.
He earns fourth place.
