Sue’s multiple levels of lateral thinking
Before even touching the duck, Sue walks along the course and removes all of the flamingos, reasoning that she’d otherwise just rack up boundary penalties while trying to avoid them.
After ridding the course of all obstacles, Sue then widens the boundaries of the course as far as she can, by moving all of the poles, giving herself plenty of room to manoeuvre the duck.
Finally, she ties the red rope around the duck’s neck, before proceeding to drag it through the now much easier course.
She kindly removes the rope from the duck’s neck before releasing it into the lake, finishing the course in 9 minutes and 45 seconds, with no penalties. This earns her second place.
