Everyone estimates weights
In the first round, Julian must decide between eight toilet rolls and a large plastic duck. Julian correctly guesses that the duck is heavier, and survives.
In the second round, Lucy must decide between the large plastic duck and a real pineapple. Lucy correctly guesses that the pineapple is heavier and survives.
In the third round, Sam must decide between the pineapple and a wellington boot. He asks if he’s allowed to ask questions, and Greg rules that this is permitted. Sam decides to use his question to ask if Greg is “a child of divorce”. He then correctly guesses that the welly is heavier, and survives.
In the fourth round, Sue must decide between the wellington boot and a regular 1.5kg bag of flour. Sue incorrectly guesses that the bag of flour is heavier, and is eliminated. At Greg’s shock that a bag of flour is lighter than the welly, Alex hands the welly to Sue, who reveals that it is filled with a heavy chain. In response to this revelation, Sue calls Alex an “utter shit”.
In the fifth round, Susan must decide between the bag of flour and a hand bell. Susan incorrectly guesses that the bell is heavier, and is eliminated.
In the sixth round, Julian has to decide between the hand bell and a candelabra. Julian incorrectly guesses that the candelabra is lighter, and is eliminated.
In the seventh round, Lucy must decide between the candelabra and a teddy bear. She incorrectly guesses that the teddy bear is lighter, and is eliminated.
In the eighth and final round, Sam must decide between the teddy bear and a leaf-blower. He says that he knows everyone will call him crazy, but he guesses that they will be of exactly equal weight. Greg tells Sam to change his mind, because that’s not how the game works, so Sam guesses that the leaf-blower will be lighter. Due to some sort of equipment malfunction, the seesaw actually remains pretty level for a while, suggesting that the two items are indeed of equal weight. However, while Sam is expressing his frustration that Greg had made him change his guess, the end of the seesaw supporting the leaf-blower does begin to lower.
Sam is therefore eliminated, and earns joint first place, along with Julian and Lucy, while Sue and Susan earn joint fourth place.
