Karen’s school assignment

Karen points out that none of the other contestants actually had any involvement in the creation of their prize items, whereas she brings in a school assignment she had done when she was around 11 years old, which appears to be a report about cricket.

The front cover has ‘HOWZAT’ in big 3D writing down the left-hand side of the page, and a drawing of a cricket ball hitting some stumps. There is a page in the report featuring the faces of some famous cricketers, with their surnames beneath them, one of whom is one of Mel’s uncles.

She ends her presentation by sharing her teacher’s notes and her mark for the assignment. The teacher’s notes were as follows:

Your title page is Terrific and extremely effective and your study is carefully and neatly set out.
You have done a lot of excellent research and written an interesting informative and very detailed study.
