Ray’s tall poppy
Ray, in reference to New Zealand’s dislike of bragging, brings in a tall poppy, referencing the phenomenon of tall poppy syndrome.
He points out that it’s also about “respecting the troops”, and that the walls of his flat and garden are covered in poppies, and that he’s also addicted to opium.
When questioned about it, he claims he bought it from The Warehouse (a NZ chain of discount retail stores).
He earns just 1 point.
