Sue’s pilfered memorabilia

Sue brings in a sign from what she calls a “well-known and beloved broadcasting institution”.

Sue explains that in the final days before the BBC sold off its iconic Television Centre building, she had been filming a pilot episode of a show there, and that everyone there had been grabbing whatever mementos they could from the building (“asset-stripping the BBC from the inside out”, as she puts it).

She admits that she initially found the entire thing horrifying, until the presenter (and former New Year’s Treat contestant) Claudia Winkleman offered to help her reach some of the signs that were mounted higher up. She reveals that Claudia herself took a stage door sign as a memento.

Greg awards Sue first place, as he says it’s the one sign he genuinely most wants, out of all of them.
