Jesper’s German tourism video
Jesper films himself on vacation in the Harz (the highlands of northern Germany), including various shots from to the historic town of Goslar, in Lower Saxony, as well as from Stolberg (where Jesper gets his favourite sausages). From an off-hand comment in the studio, it seems that Jesper may have taken a trip following the Harz Goethe Way.
Jesper’s reveal actually takes place in the town of Wernigerode, and centres around the German poet, scientist, and wine aficionado Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. As the story goes, on the evening of December 3, 1777, while walking back to his hotel, a drunken Goethe had lost his way and stumbled into a random courtyard. Unable to ignore the needs of his body any longer, Goethe urinated on a seedling (and apparently quite rare) vine. Today, that vine still thrives, and has grown to cover much of the house near which it was planted.
Jesper also points out a nearby knitwear shop, which he declares is his mother’s favourite.
Lasse awards Jesper last place.
