Stian makes a duct tape hat stand
As Stian removes a long strip of duct tape from one of the rolls, he tells Olli that his initial idea is something that can be used to hang things on.
As he wraps some duct tape around a lamp pole to give it some form, he muses on how his artistic process is like that of a stone-sculptor, who has to find the form they are carving from within the solid block, and so might not know exactly what they’re doing when they begin.
It seems that Stian goes through several iterations of his ideas between that statement and the reveal of his final piece, though, as his creation is revealed to be a hat stand, created by wrapping duct tape around three or four rolls of duct tape, and topped with a short pole and a globe made entirely out of tape, on top of which Stian places a hat.
Notably, the rest of the many rolls of duct tape are nowhere to be seen at this point, so Stian has presumably used them all.
Atle is disappointed with everyone’s attempts, and awards Stian joint fourth place.
