Tuva manages one of the criteria
After reading the task brief, Tuva muses that making an awful boat might actually be more difficult than building a good boat, for which she is mocked in the studio by Atle. She searches the shed for materials, coming across a child’s folding chair, a rolled-up mattress, and a yoga ball. She quickly dismisses the yoga ball, as it is very buoyant.
Tuva mounts the chair on the mattress, telling Olli that she won’t build anymore, out of fear of making something that could actually resemble a boat. She notes that she finds it difficult to “think lousy” when she’s “actually smart”.
She then takes her boat to the fountain to test it, as opposed to any other body of water. Olli points out to her that she is just sitting on a chair in the fountain.
In the studio, Atle pre-emptively rejects any argument Tuva might have that she made a boat, and questions how she had taken 60 minutes to simply roll up a mattress and put a chair on top of it. Tuva then reveals that the mattress had already been rolled up when she found it, and agrees that she’d only managed the “lousy” part of the task.
Atle awards Tuva fourth place.
