Sam hates the task

In the studio, prior to the contestants’ attempts being shown, Alex reveals that Sam did not like this task, and Sam agrees, calling it “a dud”.

After reading the task brief, Sam asks Alex if he is allowed to touch the rubbish robots with something that is not himself.

He then kneels on the steps at the back of the defined area, and picks up one of the Weazel Balls before putting on his blindfold.

While Sam initially swings the Weazel Ball around in front of himself, trying to find the rubbish robots, he eventually just throws it in the general direction of one of the robots (presumably because he could hear it). Soon afterwards, Sam is hit in the foot by one of the robots.

He makes his dislike of the task known immediately after removing his blindfold, saying that it’s nice that Alex sometimes allows his nephew to come up with tasks for the show, as it allows people to “appreciate the really good ones”.

In the studio, Sam continues expressing his disdain for the task, sarcastically exclaiming that the rubbish robot POV shots had changed his mind, and he now believes that they deserve a spin-off show.

Sam survives for 1 minute and 4 seconds, and earns fourth place.
