Kevin has a near-death experience

While considering the wording of the task brief, Kevin searches the shed. He soon emerges with a pedal cart, reasoning that its wheels will spin while it’s being ridden.

He tells Antoine that he plans to drive the cart (which he keeps calling a “bike”, for which he is mocked by the rest of the contestants in the studio) down the ski slope, but then changes his mind once he sees that the drive leading from the base of the ski slope to the main road is straighter.

As Kevin prepares for his drive, Antoine – who suffered a cart-related injury in a previous task – double-checks that Kevin is certain he wants to go ahead with his plan.

Kevin embarks on his ride, screaming the entire time as he quickly realises that the cart has bad brakes.

Eventually, he gains more confidence in himself, exclaiming that he is “the king of the road”, before inexplicably stopping his ride prematurely before the end of the road.

In the studio, Louis observes that Kevin really had looked like his life was flashing before his eyes, but questions why he’d chosen to stop his attempt early. Kevin responds to this by joking that he was “tired of feeling those emotions”.

Kevin’s wheel spins for 1 minute and 23 seconds “of terror”, and he earns second place.
