Episode 5: Doctor Octopus
Episode synopsis
In this episode, the contestants must bring in the most exciting thing that starts with ‘G’, physically recreate a classic video game, feed their teammate(s) the most watermelon, make something spin for the longest, and communicate pictures by drawing on their teammates’ backs.
Title context
During the ‘Feed your team-mate(s) the most watermelon’ task, Phil Roy remarks that Mona de Grenoble looks like “the bad guy in Spider-Man with all the arms”, leading Mona to cackle and provide the name Phil can’t remember: “Doctor Octopus”.
Taskmaster Intro
Good evening, and welcome to Taskmaster. My name is Louis Morissette, and I am the Taskmaster. Over the past few weeks, I have devised a series of tasks for five beloved comedians to complete. Together, we'll discover what they did, and how they did it. As the Taskmaster, I'll hand out points to the most deserving contestants based on highly subjective and ambiguous criteria. The winner of the season will take home the greatest prize in television history: a replica of my head in gold!
Assistant Intro
If there were a prize for best assistant, he'd present it: Antoine Vézina!
Note: In response to this burn, Antoine gives as good as he gets, stating that if such an award actually existed, Louis’ wife, Véro (Véronique Cloutier) is certain that Louis himself would win it (Véro is much more famous than Louis is).
