Biography

Marie-Lyne Joncas (born on 21 June 1987) is a Quebecois comedian and actor, who graduated from l'École Nationale de l'Humour (The National School of Humour) in 2014.

In 2016, she played the character Lou in several episodes of the comedy series Boomerang.

Between 2016 and 2018, she appeared as different characters on three separate episodes of Julien Lacroix's self-titled series, Julien Lacroix, and was a co-host on the comedy web series Le Courrier du Cul (The Ass Mail).

Since 2016, she has appeared multiple times as a guest on Mike Ward's comedy talk show Sous Écoute.

In 2017, she played the dancer Chanel in the film Bon Cop, Bad Cop 2, and a tattooed woman in a couple of episodes of the crime procedural drama District 31.

In 2017, she was nominated at the Gala Les Olivier, along with Ève Coté, in the Découverte de l'Année (Discovery of the Year) category.

Between 2017 and 2020, she collaborated on the CKOI radio show Le Clan MacLeod.

In 2018, she played the role of Alex in the film Menteur (Liar) and, during the 2018 Zoofest alternative comedy festival, spoke for an hour with the then Premier of Quebec, Philippe Couillard.

During the 2019 Les Olivier Gala, she was one of the two most nominated personalities, along with Julien Lacroix, sharing several nominations with Ève Coté, thanks to their double act Les Grandes Crues (The Great Floods), with its show Su'l Gros Vin.

In 2020, she appeared as a marketing specialist in several episodes of the comedy series La Maison-Bleue (The Blue House).

Since 2020, she has hosted Le Prochain Stand-up (The Next Stand-Up) on Noovo, and has co-hosted the radio show L'heure du Lunch with Benoît Gagnon on CITE-FM.

In 2022, she began hosting the daily show Le Fabulous Printemps de Marie-Lyne (The Fabulous Spring of Marie-Lyne) on Noovo.

In 2023, she appeared as a co-host on several episodes of the Quebec talk show Tout le Monde en Parle (Everybody's Talks About It), and as a contestant in the comedy game show LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier? (the Quebecois adaptation of the Last One Laughing format).

She is also contributor to the radio show Véronique et les Fantastiques, led by Véronique Cloutier (wife of Louis Morissette).
