Episode 1: Whale attack
Episode synopsis
In this first episode of the season, the contestants must bring in the most surprising photo of themself, slide as far as possible, complete the most tasks, fill an eggcup with sweat, and then roll a toilet roll and retrieve a glass of water. Also, one lucky contestant gets to count the beans in a tin of baked beans.
Title context
During the ‘Complete the most tasks’ task, Kevin incorrectly reads ‘Attaque la Baleine’ (‘Attack the Whale’) as ‘Attaque de Baleine’ (‘Whale Attack’).
Taskmaster Intro
Good evening, and welcome to the second season of Taskmaster. My name is Louis Morissette, and I will be the Taskmaster. Over the past few weeks, I have devised a series of tasks for five beloved comedians to complete. Together, we'll find out what they did, and how they did it. As the Taskmaster, I will assign points to the most deserving contestants based on highly subjective and ambiguous criteria. The winner of the season will take home the greatest prize in television history: a replica of my head in gold.
Assistant Intro
The person we can thank for not just looking like we’re in therapy for comedians desperate for attention: Antoine Vezina!

Episode scores
There are some discrepancies between the official total scores for this episode and the points seen to be awarded during the episode. Both sets of scores, and the discrepancies between them, are displayed below.
Notes on discrepancies
- There is a 1 point discrepancy in Kevin's points, as seen on the scoreboard updates shown after the 'Fill an eggcup with sweat' task. Kevin is awarded 1 point in that task, but the scoreboard indicates that he received 2 points.
- This does not affect the contestants' final placings in the episode, but it remains to be seen whether the error will be carried over into the running season scores.
