Lucy tries unconventional tools

After reading the task brief, Lucy takes all of the pie plates outside with her.

Upon meeting Wayne, Lucy puts down the pies and immediately runs to the shed, soon emerging with her arms overflowing with tools she intends to use to knock Wayne down.

She first attempts to throw a hula hoop over Wayne’s head, but misses her throw. She then tries using a pool noodle to catch Wayne, but it also doesn’t work. Finally, Lucy pulls a swing ball pole from her shed arsenal and uses it to successfully pull Wayne down, though Wayne gets caught up in the swing ball pole.

Lucy does pie Wayne in the face in 3 minutes and 25 seconds, but runs across the red green immediately afterwards, before Alex officially announces that the clock has been stopped.

In the studio, Alex also points out that Lucy had touched Wayne when she pied him, in addition to stepping on the red green. Lucy is therefore disqualified.
