Steve’s deadly jellyfish

Steve brings in a jar containing one of the most venomous animal in the world – an Irukandji box jellyfish, the venom of which he claims has the power to very quickly stop a human heart (note: according to Wikipedia, their stings are so severe that they can cause fatal brain haemorrhages, and send 50-100 people to the hospital annually).

Steve notes that the venom gives stung victims an “impending sense of doom” (note: this is indeed one of the symptoms of ‘Irukandji syndrome’, along with excruciating muscle cramps in the arms and legs, severe pain in the back and kidneys, a burning sensation of the skin and face, headaches, nausea, restlessness, sweating, vomiting, and increased heart rate and blood pressure).

Greg decides that although he believes people would think Steve was a psychopath for bringing a deadly jellyfish to a party, it is still more fun that Zoe’s one man band, so he awards Steve third place.
