Special synopsis

The New Year's Treat 2024 special, featuring contestants Deborah Meaden, Kojey Radical, Lenny Rush, Steve Backshall, and Zoe Ball, aired on 2 January 2024.

The studio recording session took place on 27 November 2023.

In this festive special, the contestants must: bring in the most fun thing to carry into a room full of strangers; eat a stack of poppadoms while either complimenting Greg, or insulting Alex; draw themselves on a tablet eating fruit, without touching the screen with their hands; make a bunch of different things pop around the same time; and guess whether a series of objects will fit through a series of holes.

Taskmaster Intro

Hello! I'm Greg Davies. Welcome, everybody, to the Taskmaster New Year's Treat. Yes, it's our once a year chance to turn our backs on the wretched army of comedians and shine the unforgiving light into the face of those famous for other things. Sure, these people have achieved success in their chosen fields. But will they fare well at completing pointless tasks under the watchful eye of a lanky despot and his hairy snaggle-toothed boy servant? Doubt it! In the event of one of them being slightly better than the others, this is their prize: Ooh! It's a golden pair of Daddy Big Fun's eyebrows. 'What bizarre combination of individuals have been strong-armed into the colosseum of nonsense this year?', I hear you cry. I shall tell you!

Assistant Intro

And next to me is a man who confided in me that his ritual for New Year is simple: on the 12th day, he takes down his Christmas decorations; and on the 13th day, he takes whatever awful gift his in-laws have bought him to a charity shop.

The prize up for grabs in this special is a trophy featuring Greg's golden eyebrows.
