Mauri keeps things historically accurate
Mauri decides to focus on the ‘visionary’ option from the task brief, and decides that he wants to film a lemon hitting David in slow-motion. From this simple idea, he builds an entire story, casting David as a German salesman in 1952, attempting to popularise currywurst in Sweden.
As Mauri dresses David in a pair of red long johns, he admits that his story will be historically accurate, as currywurst had never caught on in Sweden. He also muses that David wearing the long johns looks like a “Wish knock-off of the Ipren man”.
After slapping a curly black wig on David’s head, giving him a large suitcase, and putting him on a bicycle, Mauri tells David to start riding around on the gravel driveway in front of the house.
Mauri then takes the box of lemons and retreats to the elevated ground floor balcony of the Bäst i Test house, after reminding David to remain in character. As David rides around in front of the house, Mauri (quite forcefully) throws a lemon at him, yelling that he should “go back to Bremmen”.
One lemon hits David squarely on the back, and David milks the incident by pretending to fall off of the bike. Mauri, however, seems to feel genuinely guilty about hurting David, running down to apologise to him for throwing the lemon as hard as he had.
Babben awards Mauri fourth place.
