Maria the mischievous

Maria quickly decides that she wants to add an element of fakery to her actual dance skills: she will do a little ballet and, after performing a leap, will film her feet rapidly and continually switching places in the air, as if she is levitating.

After a quick search of the costume room, in which she finds and dons a red one-piece and a pink tulle skirt, she casts David as her dance partner, and the two head into the wooded area next to the house.

Maria tells David to prepare to see a dance leap like he’s never seen before. After running around a nearby tree, she then leaps, remaining airborne for quite some time, to show off her fancy footwork, before finally landing.

In the studio, footage of how Maria achieved her trickery is shown, much to her annoyance (she had simply held on to a low branch of the tree and swung her feet around beneath her).

Babben awards Maria third place, as she believes it was clear that the tree would have been used to achieve the effect.
