Solveig’s other leg

Having just listened to Siri complain about her mother during her prize task submission, Solveig takes the opportunity to remind everyone that she does not have a mother, as her mother has died. She can barely restrain her giggling as she says this, and the rest of the panel start laughing as well, remembering Solveig’s story about her mother during the previous episode (which would have been filmed the same day).

Solveig says that when her mother died, she inherited many of her mother’s things, including her prize offering: a prosthetic leg. When Alte points out that Solveig had already brought in the leg, as her prize for the previous episode, Solveig insists that this is her mother’s other prosthetic leg, for “everyday” use, and that while she has a special use for the “festive” leg she’d previously submitted as a prize, she has no use for the “everyday” one.

Atle awards Solveig second place.

[Note: Solveig’s story is, amazingly, mostly true: her mother did have a prosthetic leg, and Solveig does decorate it every year before Christmas. However, it seems very unlikely that she also had a spare second prosthetic leg, as Solveig is claiming.]
