Special synopsis
This four-episode Christmas special mini-season of Kongen Befaler aired at a rate of two episodes a week between 28 November 2023 and 7 December 2023.
Filming of the studio sessions took place at Drammen's Theatre on the 20th and 24th September 2023.
The cast consists of previous contestants Siri Kristiansen (season 1), Leo Ajkic (season 7), Calle Hellevang-Larsen (seasons 1 and 2), Kristoffer Olsen (season 6), and Solveig Kloppen (season 4).
All of the contestants’ scoreboard portraits are the ones used in the original seasons they appeared in, except for Siri’s. Calle’s is his portrait from season 2.
Kristoffer has also opted to wear the same blue jeans and grey hoodie outfit that he wore for both at the house and in the studio during season 6.
Special prize
The prize up for grabs in this special is a large golden bauble featuring a picture of Atle Antonsen on his throne.
Notes
- In early August 2023, tickets to attend the filming of four extra episodes of Kongen Befaler at Drammen's Theatre on the 20th and 24th September went on sale.
- The cast of the episodes was revealed in an update to the ticket page in late August 2023.
- On 15 November 2023, it was announced that this would be the 2023 Christmas special, and would be aired soon after the end of season 8, followed by the previously cancelled two-episode Christmas special from 2022. Both specials are to be broadcast on a schedule of two episodes a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 28 November 2023.
