Biography

Siri is a comedian, presenter, author, and actor who appeared as a contestant on the first season of Kongen Befaler.

Siri’s career began in 2004 as an author, publishing Siris dagbok (Siri’s Diary), an autobiographical depiction of her adolescence. This was followed by a stint as a writer on the show Typisk norsk for one season in 2005. She was also performing stand-up comedy.

Siri has done various radio work throughout her career, including appearances on NRK’s P3 programmes P3morgen (P3 Morning), and Verdensherredømme (World Domination), before appearing on TV on NRK3’s satire programme Desken, and TV2's youth programme Sone 2. In 2010, she appeared as a substitute host on Nytt på nytt.

She presented the weekly radio talk show Lørdagsrådet (The Saturday Council) on P3, which ran from 2010 to 2017. In 2013, Siri also hosted a TV version of the show, Rådet (The Council) on NRK3, which ran for two seasons until it ended in 2014. She was nominated for a Gullruten (Norwegian TV award) in 2014 for ‘Best Female Presenter’ for her work on the show.

In 2015, she hosted the NRK P13 radio programme Befolkningen (The Population), along with Longen Befaler season 4 participant Steinar Sagen. In 2017, she co-hosted the radio show Plenum on the same channel.

Beginning in 2018, she presented the radio show Siri og de gode hjelperne (Siri and the good helpers), which existed on several radio channels as well as in podcast form. It continues to run as a podcast, as of 2023.

Siri then participated as a contestant on the inaugural season of Kongen Befaler, in 2019.

Following her appearance on Kongen Befaler, in the spring of 2020, Siri joined the inaugural season of the award-winning reality show Kompani Lauritzen, followed by a stint competing on Skal vi danse (Shall we dance). At the same time, she appeared on a recurring segment on Ylvis på holmen med Calle og Magnus, along with fellow Kongen Befaler alumni Bård Ylvisåker, Calle Hellevang-Larsen, Vegard Ylvisåker, and Magnus Devold.

She participated in the first season of the show Alltid bereft (Always Prepared, the Norwegian adaptation of the UK format Outsiders) in 2022, which once again featured several other previous Kongen Befaler contestants - Steinar Sagen, Jenny Skavlan, and Harald Eia.

In December 2022, she began to co-host the weekly podcast Stolthet og fordommer (Pride and Prejudice). She also began presenting the programme Arveoppgjøret (The Inheritance Settlement) on NRK1.

Fun fact: Siri has previously trained as a cabinetmaker, production manager, and copywriter.
