Siri’s tax arrears

Siri says that she has interpreted the task in a similar manner to Solveig: instead of a valuable item, she has brought in a representation of an expensive financial burden caused by her celebrity status.

In Siri’s case, she has chosen to represent this concept by bringing in a statement of her owed back taxes from 2022. She explains that she likes to “interpret the law and find loopholes”, which the tax collectors apparently don’t particularly appreciate.

Calle is disappointed to see that the details on the statement which is then shown on-screen in the studio have been blurred out, meaning that an actual financial figure is not disclosed. Siri assures him that it’s quite a lot, and says that if anyone truly believes that they have brought in something that is more expensive, then she may be willing to reveal the actual number.

Atle points out that Siri’s prize entry is essentially humble-bragging: by mentioning that she owes quite a bit in one year of back taxes, Siri is implying that she earns a lot of money.

Atle ultimately awards Siri third place.
