Siri uses the hip trick

After reading the task brief, Siri asks Olli if she has to actually hold the candle, or if she can make some sort of hat. Olli does not answer her outside of rhetorically posing the second part of her question back to her.

Siri decides to abandon her hat idea, though, instead fetching a length of hosepipe, with the intention of creating a “carrying structure”. She presumably intended to create a single handle for the pot using the hose, but she also abandons this idea.

Instead, Siri opts to pour out some of the wine from the pot, to reduce its weight, so that she can carry it against her hip (which she refers to as “the old hip trick”). She successfully moves the remaining contents of the pot to the stove in this manner.

In the studio, Atle comments that he finds Siri’s strategy to be a familiar one: laziness. Siri counters that she was inspired by Leo’s season, presumably implying that many of Leo’s solutions to the tasks in season 7 had been low-effort.

Siri moves 14.8 litres of mulled wine in total, and earns last place.
