Siri microwaves her candle

Siri immediately lights her candle with a match, before going to the kitchen to try the microwave.

She mentions that she has never owned or used a microwave, but knows that they warm things from the inside, with the potential to explode. She tries to put a plate inside, before just lying the candle on its side in the microwave.

After a couple of minutes in the microwave with no sign of progress, Siri fiddles with the settings dial until it falls off.

She then resorts to using a storm lighter to melt the candle above the kitchen sink, noting that Atle’s family should get him a new microwave for Christmas (foreshadowing the next task in the episode).

In the studio, it is revealed that she'd spent 14 minutes trying to work the microwave, and just one minute melting the candle with the lighter. She manages to melt 118 grams in that final minute, which earns her fourth place.

Olli mentions that he'd found her attempt so embarrassing to watch that he'd had to leave the room.
