Tammy measures distances in hockey players

Tammy chooses box C, which gives her access to three long PVC pipes (the openings of which are not large enough for the eggs), two bamboo poles, a roll of Scotch tape, three or four bungee cords, and a full roll of compression bandage.

After making her choice, she leans over the balcony to try to estimate the distance between herself and the frying pan, guessing that it is “three or four Guillaume Latendresses”. She asks Antoine to weigh in on her estimate, and he questions if she’s taking into account whether Guillaume is wearing ice skates or not. Tammy’s estimate isn’t that far off - she believes that Guillaume is 6 feet tall, when he’s actually 6’2”.

Tammy tapes all of the PVC pipes together, end-to-end, and tries to use them to bridge the distance to the pan. Unfortunately, the Scotch tape is not strong enough to hold the weight of the pipes unassisted. Tammy attempts to strengthen the connection by running one of the bungee cords between the openings of two pipes, but all this accomplishes is that she does not lose a pipe to the ground, when the Scotch tape finally breaks.

While Tammy tries to think of another way to keep the pipes together, Antoine asks whether she had even checked to see if the eggs would fit inside the pipes, prompting her to do so and discover that the openings are actually too small.

Tammy then hooks the bungee cords together before securing them to two of the patio fenceposts to create a slingshot, using her open palm as the slingshot bed. Unsurprisingly, the egg she tries to fire using her device does not travel, instead falling directly to her feet and breaking on the ground.

In the studio, Tammy confesses that it was during this task that she had wondered why she’d agreed to participate in the show.

For failing to get any eggs in her pan, Tammy earns no points.
