Steve’s face-swapped photo

Steve brings in an edited version of a photograph of Greg and Alex at a beach together (which Greg had posted online in August 2022, along with the caption “Worst. Summer Ever”, and Alex had also posted with the caption “Having the time of my life. #blessed”).

In Steve’s version of the photo, some of their facial features have been swapped, creating disturbing hybrids of the two men. Steve claims that it’s actually a photo of two friends: “Glug Gravies” (referencing Joanne’s prize submission for the ‘The most glorious thing that sounds a bit like “Greg Davies”, if you mumble it’ task), a “geography teacher who took early retirement”; and “Alan Hornes”, who “runs a pub quiz”.

Greg states that the image is “sinister”, and acknowledges that neither he nor Alex are “great-looking guys” with their own faces. Alex suggests that Greg must have thought about what it would be like to swap faces, and shares that on long flights he imagines what it would be like to combine different parts of their bodies together into one person. However, Greg tunes out of what Alex is saying halfway through.

Greg awards Steve just 2 points, admitting that he doesn’t like looking at his own or Alex’s face, even when they are mixed together.
