Jonis is inspired by basketball

Immediately after reading the task brief, Jonis says that he’ll “try a classic NBA”.

He stands in the hole and underhand-throws the duck over the wall, without having any idea where the bucket is. He then runs to retrieve the duck, and quickly glances at the wall, finally seeing the bucket’s actual location.

Convinced that his issue is the distance between the top of the wall and the location of the bucket, he fetches the children’s play slide from the garden and sets it up on top of a large barrel behind the wall, with the bottom of the slide pointing towards the bucket.

After his next throw passes well over the slide, Jonis adjusts the trajectory of his third throw (comparing it to the “highs and lows” of basketball shots), lobbing the duck high up and over the wall, where it hits the slide and then slides directly into the bucket.

As he leaves the scene, clearly pleased with his own efforts, Jonis compares his shot to one by Kobe Bryant.

Jonis completes the task in 2 minutes and 21 seconds, and earns second place.
