Eva is fucking fast
Out of all of the contestants on the panel, Eva is arguably the one who performed the worst in her respective season, often not understanding the tasks. In a shocking twist, however, Eva is the only one of the contestants to immediately confirm that they understand this particular task brief after reading it, and Lasse is curious about Eva’s sudden burst of confidence.
Eva runs to the shed, and returns with a long pole and a leaf-blower. She then uses her pole to bend the cup pole down far enough that Mark can reach it, and tells Mark to hold onto it while she returns to the shed.
She soon returns with a hand-saw, and saws off the top part of the pole, along with the cup, before running with it to the nearby hose and filling it to overflowing.
Eva is delighted with her performance, high-fiving Mark and calling herself “fucking fast”.
In the studio, Lasse marvels that their earlier in-studio banter about Eva being the smart one had not actually been sarcasm, and Eva stands by her “fucking good” solution.
However, Lasse then voices his suspicion about the fact that apparently the “ingenious” solution had not been saved until last, as is the norm on the show. Mark then hesitantly plays more footage from Eva’s attempt on-screen, revealing that while trying to pull the pole down, she had accidentally touched the red green with the pole she was using. Eva realised that she had done this on the day, but had insisted was quick enough that no-one would have seen it.
Lasse admits that he feels a bit sadistic for pulling the “your solution was good; just kidding” bait-and-switch with Eva for a third time (though he does not specifically reference what the other two instances were, so it’s unclear if they were all in this special mini-series, or if he was also counting attempts from her original season), so he awards her a (very rare) bonus points in compensation.
Eva, however, wants none of his charity, comparing it to rewarding her for simply standing up. Lasse re-asserts his authority in the situation by awarding her 2 bonus points instead [note: Eva is in dead last place in the series at this point, so even 2 bonus points would not have any effect on her overall ranking]. The other contestants then jokingly claim that they don’t want any points, either, and Jacob argues that the entire miniseries could be considered “a bonus point because we all stood up”.
Eva completes the task in 4 minutes and 9 seconds, is disqualified for touching the red green, but still comes out of the task with her 2 bonus points.
