Sofie uses a cardboard tube

Sofie immediately runs to fetch the hose. When she discovers that it is too short to reach the cup, she attempts in vain to spray water towards the cup but, because she does not attempt to create any additional pressure on the water flow to increase its potential distance, she barely gets any even onto the grass, let alone anywhere near the red green or the cup itself.

Sofie eventually abandons the hose and searches the shed, soon emerging with a long cardboard tube, one end of which she covers with tape, and then fills with water. She then stands on top of an oil drum to bring herself more or less level with the cup, and tilts her (leaking) cardboard tube towards it.

Despite her questionable tools, Sofie’s construction works fairly well, and she soon fills the cup to overflowing. However, she then drops the cardboard tube to raise her arms in celebration, and it lands directly on the red green.

In the studio, Sofie backs up Jacob’s argument that when both of them had touched the red green with items in their respective attempts, the task had already been solved, and so this should not count against them. Lasse agrees with Jacob’s assertion, so Sofie is not disqualified.

Sofie completes the task in 9 minutes and 51 seconds, and earns second place.
