Episode 1: Gluten free

Episode synopsis

In this episode the contestants must bring in the best thing they can't live without, make a sculpture of something using items starting with the same letter, make a cocktail using ingredients which rhyme, hit a piece of fruit with some bread, and pack a suitcase as close to 23kg as possible.

Title context

'Gluten free' was uttered by Leigh Hart during the 'Hit a piece of fruit with some bread' task.

Alternate Titles

• On Sweden's SVT Play streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Glutenfri filosofi', which translates as 'Gluten-free philosophy'. This is a reference to the 'Hit a piece of fruit with some bread' task, in which one of the type of bread was gluten-free. Not sure where the philosophy comes into it, though. Taskmaster Intro

Welcome along. This is Taskmaster. My name is Jeremy Wells, and for all intents and purposes of this licensed television format, I am the Taskmaster. For 10 weeks, five comedians will seek my approval by doing things I've asked them to do. Why are they doing this? For attention, I suppose. Some probably need the money, and all of them want this my golden head, made from pure golden paint and a hugely uncomfortable moulding process. I sure hope it was worth it.
